Situated at the foot of the Comeragh Mountains Nell's Farm House and Heritage Centre near Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Waterford offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and provides a perfect venue for this event. Dating back to the 1800's the house has been beautifully restored. Mary Flynn welcomes you to her kitchen in order to enjoy the music, song, dance and craic.
Julian Walton is one of Ireland’s best known story-telling historians and certainly Waterford’s best loved collector and broadcaster of local history and lore. His “On This Day” series on WLRfm became a defining means of connecting modern Waterford with the tales and stories from its past. He has also lectured in a multitude of places and to countless audiences of all ages and persuasions. He is the author of 'The Royal Charters of Waterford' and of many articles in historical journals.
Craobh Crotaigh Comhaltas Group, based in Rathgormack and Clonea continues to uphold the heritage of Irish traditional music in the Comeragh Mountains area through, in particular, providing learning and performance opportunities
