The Copper Coast is a geologically intriguing stretch of coastline between Tramore and Stradbally. Much of the area is now part of the Unesco Copper Coast Geopark. This wonderful sea kayaking experience gives you the opportunity to explore the fascinating rock formations of the Copper Coast as you have never see them before and experience the thrill of sea kayaking in a stunning location. The tour is led by esteemed Copper Coast Geopark Geologist Robbie Galvin and highly experienced local sea kayaking instructor Mick O’Meara of SeaPaddling.com. Meeting at Kilfarrasy Beach on the Copper Coast, you will spend a half day exploring the coves and caves around the coast line while also hearing the fascinating story of how they formed.
Kayaks and all equipment will be provided. No sea kayaking experience is required and complete beginners are very welcome; however, please note that a moderate degree of physical fitness is required. The trips will leave Kilfarrasy Beach near Fenor at 10.00 a.m. each day, depending on the weather conditions. Please note, places are strictly limited and booking is required.
