Seashore Tours runs guided tours of the seashore, introducing visitors to the fascinating array of plant and animal life living there.
The tours begin with a 40 minute illustrated talk in Clonea Hotel, with colourful images bringing alive the largely unknown animals and plants of the seashore, explaining how they survive in their unique environment and enabling participants to identify many of the huge number of different types of animals living in the rock-pools and under the sand.
The talk in the hotel is followed by a visit to the adjoining beach where participants are then given the opportunity to explore the seashore with their guide and to try out their new-found knowledge identifying the animals and plants living there.
Tours lasting 90 minutes are run by Dr. Barbara Duff, marine biologist and teacher.
Times vary because of tides. Up-to-date information can be found on the website or by calling Barbara.
