St. Declan's Hermitage, consisting of his well and church, is situated near the beginning of the cliff walk around the town of Ardmore. The well dates back to the 5th century and is still a place of religious devotion today. On Pattern day, the 24th July, many locals and people from the region celebrate his pattern, which includes various devotional acts at sites associated with his life. Situated on top of the well are two carved crucifixion scenes. A visit is strongly recommended!
