Glenpatrick Bridge Walk / Siúlóid Droichead Ghleann Phádraig - Rath Ó gCormaic
The second half of this walk is particularly interesting as you take a trip back in time under the north eastern slopes of Knockanaffrin Ridge along part of the old and very scenic "Clonmel to Kilmeadean" road. This military road was built in the early 19th century (as so many military roads were) in response to the 1798 Rebellion and local faction fighting.
From the village of Rathgormack on the R678 (Distance from Clonmel: 12 miles, Waterford: 25 miles, Carrick on Suir: 6 miles, Dungarvan: 18 miles), follow the R678 in the direction of Clonmel. After a 5km straight stretch, the road swing left and reaches a downhill roadway on your right. Turn right and travel for 500m to reach a large car parking area on your right.
