Set your alarm early and join us at The Rainbow Hall, Kilmacthomas for the Sean Kelly Dawn Chorus Cycles. The East Route to Bilbery sets off from 4.30am and leisure cycle to Dungarvan begins at 5am. Both events are fully off-road on the magnificent Waterford Greenway. Adults €40, Kids 10 – 16 accompanied €20, Family of 4 €100. Pre-registration on


Magical Morning YogaJoin Claire O'Sullivan on Saturday 14th July between 9 and 10 am at Crough Wood Picnic Area.   Roll out your Yoga mat, soak up the amazing scenery and breathe in the fresh mountain air while enjoying a relaxing stretch in the heart of the Comeragh Mountains.

All levels and ages welcome.  Just bring a mat, a smile and a spirit of adventure.

St Brigid's Halls, Kilrossanty - Masterclass in the Mountains.
Friday and Saturday. A unique opportunity to join internationally-renowned watercolour artist, Roisin O’Shea, on a series of painting masterclasses at various outdoor locations in the Comeragh Mountains for one or two days. Buses and lunch will be provided and plenty tips and advice shared. Meet at 9.30am in St Brigids Hall each day, classes limited to 20 participants and admission is €25 per day or both days for €40. Nire Valley Summer Drop -mini Version/Taster of the Nire Valley Drop.  Book with Eventbrite -
Jump on a bus and join us at the highest point in the Nire Valley and take in some of the region’s most spectacular scenery as you pedal back the 20km route, most of which is downhill.
Meet at Ballymacarbry Community Centre on Saturday. Places are limited, Pre-booking Essential via Eventbrite - No entries taken on the day. Admission is €15 advance booking before midnight 6th July and €20 from July 7th.

There will be a very limited number of bikes for hire which will be allocated on a first come first served basis -

Must have your own helmet and suitable clothing.  Light refreshments will be served during the day.

Please note
the 5 different start times for different levels of ability and levels of ability are as follows;

  1. Beginners with a little experience on a Mountain Bike - 12:30pm 
  2. Experienced Mountain Bikers.10am, 12:00 noon, 2pm, 4pm. 

The course will not be marked nor will there be marshals on the course. Course length will be circa 15km.





Bunmahon - Surfing Open Day - Book with Eventbrite -
Get flat on a board and head out with us from beautiful Bunmahon to catch some waves.  Meet at  Bunmahon Beach Car Park (west one)  €15 per person. 2:30pm  Rathgormack - Glacial Heritage Walk - Pay on the day.

Grab your hiking boots or shoes and join us on the Boolas Loop Heritage Walk which stretches approximately 9km and will take between 3.5 and 4.5 hours to complete. Meet at Rathgormack Hiking Centre at 2.30pm, Admission €5

Kilmacthomas is the place to be for a spectacular, family-focused Street Fete which will include livestock, crafts, artisan food, live entertainment and fun for all ages. Not to be missed! Fun begins 3pm right up to 7pm.

Rathgormack - Hoolie in the Hills - Pay on the night.
If it’s Sets you’re after, you’ve come to the right place. Grab your dancing shoes and prepare to be swept off your feet with tunes from Michael Sexton’s Ceili Band. BBQ starts at 8pm with Music starting at 9pm in Rathgormack’s Hiking Centre and admission is €10 to cover food and dancing.




Clodaigh House - Silver Screen & Summer Sounds

Join John O'Shea WLRFM DJ as he spins the summer sounds that get you in the mood for dancing then at 9pm get ready to settle down and watch 'Shrek' on the big screen in a location with a party atmosphere like you have never seen before so grab the popcorn, sit back, relax and prepare to be entertained. Music starts at 7.30, Movie at 9.30pm Admission FREE



Equipment required for Master Class:

Outdoor Watercolour Painting Kit List

  • No. 8 round sable watercolour brush + other brushes of choice
  • Small 10/12 colour pan set (outdoors)
  • Watercolour block 140 lb 12” x 9” or tubes if preferred
  • 2b, 4b and 7b pencils
  • Fold up chair, stool or blanket to sit on.
  • Drawing board/ masking tape/board clips in case it is windy + portable easel if preferred
  • Large plastic bottle full of painting water
  • Kitchen paper/wet wipes/hand sanitiser. For when hand washing is not an option.
  • Sun-block (be careful not to get this on your paper via your forearms)
  • Waterproof hooded jacket
  • Extra lightweight clothing, cardigans, etc will warm you if it is chilly
  • Comfortable walking shoes for uneven terrain
  • A painting or plastic storage box can double up as a foot rest or side table.
  • A wide brimmed hat/baseball hat is vital, painting in sunglasses is not recommended as it distorts the colours.
  • Food and drink
  • Mobile Phone
  • Hayfever tablets/headache pills/other medication as needed.
  • Insect Repellent, Bite Cream
  • A Camera in case you dont get finished in time.
  • A fishing umbrella can help you stay out even it is raining.
